Hi, I’m Dr. Tiffany General, Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist in Calhoun, Georgia
I’m honored to care for the women and families of this community. Women’s health has been my life’s work, and I feel privileged every day to walk alongside my patients through so many important moments—from routine visits to pregnancy, menopause, and everything in between.
I earned my medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Emory University in Atlanta. During my training, I was deeply honored to receive multiple recognitions from the Council for Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology, including awards for excellence in obstetrics and gynecology. These experiences helped shape both my clinical skills and my commitment to providing thoughtful, individualized care.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to care for women across Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama. Each community has taught me something valuable, but the most important lesson has always been the same—every woman deserves to feel heard, respected, and cared for as a whole person. I believe the most important part of my job is listening. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns, and trusting that you have a physician who is truly invested in your health and wellbeing.
Outside of medicine, I’m first and foremost a mother. We are very much a boy family, and much of our life revolves around sports, outdoor activities, and family road trips. I enjoy reading, cooking, and traveling when I can, and I treasure the everyday moments with my children. These experiences shape who I am and deepen my understanding of the women and families I care for.
I also care deeply about education and empowering women with knowledge about their bodies and their health. Throughout my career, I’ve been involved in community education and outreach, helping women feel confident and informed in their healthcare decisions.
At The Calhoun Women’s Center, my priority is simple: to provide compassionate, personalized care and to build lasting relationships with the women and families we serve. It is truly a privilege to care for you, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of your journey.
My Approach
I believe the most important part of caring for women is listening and truly being present. Every patient’s story, goals, and concerns are unique, and you deserve a physician who takes the time to understand what matters most to you. When you are in the office with me, you have my full attention—your questions, your concerns, and your experience matter. Whether you are coming in for a routine visit, navigating pregnancy, managing hormonal changes, or facing more complex challenges, you can expect thoughtful, honest guidance and care tailored to your individual needs. My goal is to build lasting relationships based on trust, respect, and open communication, so you always feel supported, informed, and confident in your care.
