Dr. Joseph R. Harmon
Board-Certified Obstetrician & Gynecologist
Dr. Joseph Harmon is a board-certified OB/GYN dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for women in every stage of life. He brings over a decade of experience in obstetrics, gynecology, fertility care, and complex women’s health needs.
After graduating from Calhoun High School he went on to earn his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine and completing his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Dr. Harmon served communities in Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and New York before returning to Georgia. His leadership roles have included Chair of Women & Children’s Services at Magnolia Regional Health Center and Chief of Ambulatory OB/GYN Services at Guthrie Medical Group.
Dr. Harmon has developed clinical protocols to improve obstetric emergency care, served on the Mississippi Maternal Mortality Review Committee, and lectured extensively on topics ranging from contraception to the evaluation of adnexal masses.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Harmon is deeply committed to community service. He founded The Harmon Scholarship to support local students, has organized health fairs for underserved populations, and remains actively involved in volunteer outreach.
Dr. Harmon opened The Calhoun Women’s Center to create a welcoming space where patients receive skilled, personal care in an environment built around their needs.

Board-Certified Obstetrician & Gynecologist
She is a board-certified OB/GYN with nearly two decades of experience caring for women through all stages of life. She is passionate about preventive care, patient education, and helping women feel empowered about their health.
A graduate of Tuskegee University and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, She completed her residency at Emory University in Atlanta, where she earned multiple Council for Resident Education in Obstetrics & Gynecology (CREOG) Honors and the Excellence in Obstetrics & Gynecology Award.
She has practiced in Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama, most recently serving patients at Augusta OB/GYN Specialists and Magnolia Women’s Center. She is skilled in the full spectrum of women’s health, from routine well-woman care to high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery, fertility evaluations, and menopause management.
Beyond her clinical work, She has been an active voice for women’s health in the community, leading programs such as the Ladies First Mother-Daughter Girl Talk Symposium and the Annual Momma Never Told Me Healthcare Seminar. She has also volunteered with organizations including the Columbia Free Medical Clinic, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and the Youth Science Enrichment Program.
She values building lasting relationships with her patients and providing care that reflects each woman’s unique needs and goals.
